Cloudo: Your Entire Operating System Online
Posted on 09 March 2009 by info-hunter
Cloudo is an online OS with all the features you find in a typical GUI-based operating system. Cloudo is a virtual operating system living on the internet. This means that you can access your operating system and files from any computer in the world as long as it had internet connection.
For now it is supported by advertising so its free to use. They are also offering free support via email and chat. There is a ‘revenue share’ program for people interested in developing apps for it. The user interface is pretty cool with transparent menus and cool big icons. You can run Cloudo in full screen using firefox (View>Full Screen). It has stripped down versions of notepad, media player, audio player, calendar, weather widget and more.

Cluodo is still in beta phase but I think its a good step forward in cloud computing. As far as saving important and private files online in a virtual operating system is a little to risky. Nevertheless its worth a try for regular not so important documents.
