Compare Cost of Living by City

Ever wondered how much will be the cost of living in a different city compared to where you are now? BankRate has a great calculator to find exactly that. Select the city you are moving to, city moving from and your current salary and it will show you the equivalent income you will need to maintain your standard of living. It also compares costs of various different things for the two cities side by side such as home price, apartment rent, phone and other expenses.

This is really interesting! I’m definitely going to go try it out. It could be very useful for first-time home buyers who are planning to move to a new location, or for people who plan to retire. It must have taken them a while to get all the statistics they need for it to work!
